Technical Tip – Mitsubishi GOT2000 Screen Passwords

Setting up screen passwords for GOT2000

 

 

See below the 1st of many technical tips we shall be posting over the coming months.

  • Go to: Common > GOT Environmental setting > Security
  • Click on: Level
  • Set Security Level Device: for example ‘D100’ Register
  • Set Security Level Password: You can set multiple passwords for hierarchy of access

In this example the password is ‘1234’.  Once these are filled click on ‘APPLY and OK’

The next stage is to apply a security level to a specific screen(s) accordingly.

In this example base screen 2 is set to level security 1 therefore a keypad will be prompt as soon

as you try to access screen 2. You can access these settings in screen property.

Important Information

 When the GOT HMI screen is running and you have entered the password in the prompt keypad the password will remain in the set data register until it has been reset. A suitable way to reset the data register is to use a switch to reset the data register or use a switch to go back to main screen (screen1) and also to reset the data register as the same time.

Example: Switch for screen switch and changing D100 back to ‘0’

Once this menu is completed click ‘OK’. Your password screen has now been completed.

Mitsubishi – Introducing the latest iQ-F updates

The Mitsubishi iQ-F range continues to expand and they are now at a stage where they have a comprehensive range of hardware products for this PLC family.

There is now a complete range of DC-powered CPUs available from 32 to 80 I/O.

Mitsubishi now also have PT100 and Thermocouple ADP modules (attach to left hand side of CPU).

As well as new digital I/O modules there will also be an FX5-80SSC-S (an 8 axis version of the existing popular 4 axis FX5-40SSC-S).

All the new line up is in stock except for the FX5-80SSC-S which will be available from February.

HMS INDUSTRIAL NETWORKS – ANYBUS WIRELESS BOLT IS HERE !

HMS Industrial Networks has introduced Anybus Wireless Bolt which makes machines communicate wirelessly. anybus-wireless

The Anybus Wireless Bolt is a wireless access point designed to be mounted on a machine or cabinet to give it wireless access via WLAN, Bluetooth or Bluetooth Low Energy.  The wireless access makes it possible to do configuration via a regular tablet or smartphone or connect to a cloud service, realizing Industrial IoT.

Giving a robust wireless interface, the Anybus Wireless Bolt is mounted onto a machine or cabinet just like a bolt is.  You can take your smartphone or tablet to a machine and use it as an HMI, typically used for configuration purposes.  Another typical use for the Anybus Wireless Bolt is connecting a machine to a cloud service.

Anybus Wireless Bolt can communicate wirelessly up to 100m via WLAN, Bluetooth and Bluetooth Low Energy.  It can also communicate with devices on serial (RS232/485), CAN or Ethernet on the wired side.  Wireless or wired, it has the same 2x9p Plug Connector.

Anybus Wireless Bolt is available in 3 different versions depending on your communication preferences.  Whether you want to use Anybus Wireless Bolt, Anybus Wireless Bolt – CAN and Ethernet or Anybus Wireless Bolt – Serial RS-232/485 and Ethernet take a look at the attached datasheet.

Phoenix Contact RIFLINE Complete

Phoenix Contact’s RIFLINE Complete is a one stop shop relay system.  Why use multiple relay ranges when you can carry out all standard relay applications using just the RIFLINE Complete relay system?  RIFLINE Complete is Phoenix Contact’s new cost effective modular ice cube relay series.  The relays range from a slim 6.2 mm coupling relay to a small power contactor replacement. Phoenix PSR mini is the new generation of safety relays and the range comprises of 28 products in 6 mm and 12 mm versions. There is a product scanner to quickly identify the marking materials you require from the bar code on the product packaging.

Once your project is complete, you can also send your print job directly to a Thermomark Line Printer using a bluetooth adaptor.
